My Power Mall - What About Competition?
Below is an excerpt from the March 27, 2007 update from Ginny Dye, Founder and CEO of "My Power Mall"
I'd like to share an email with you that I received yesterday:
I can't believe how fortunate I am to have come across MPM in my surfing. I had been looking at another Cash Back Mall program. Only problem was, it cost $399 to upgrade from the Free Mall to the Business Mall. On top of that they use a Binary Plan which has much negative connotation. This is just wonderful. Thank you Ginny! Thank you so much for MPM.
It's emails like this that make me so excited about what My Power Mall is doing, and will do in the years and decades ahead! As I was developing MPM I looked around to see if we had any competition. What I found was:
- Malls requiring an initial investment
- Malls requiring monthly fees to maintain your membership
- Malls with less stores that pay out less than ours do
- Malls with convoluted pay plans that even I couldn't understand.
My bottom line conclusion was that we have no competition! Will others follow behind us and try to duplicate what we are doing. Of course! That's the beauty of American capitalism. Here's the reality, though.
- The new folks will have to start from scratch – developing a system it took us 4 years and $500,000 worth of time and money to build.
- You can never cost less than nothing!
- No one will ever create a simpler rebate system/pay plan!
The rest of the reality is that because you have become a member in the very beginning you literally have no competition. It's not like you're competing against hundreds of nutritional or telecommunications companies. You're not trying to convince someone your cosmetics or kitchenware is better. And, you're not trying to sell them something or get them to sell something. You just want them to shop for things they are going to buy anyway -- in their very own Power Mall that they got for FREE.
I've given you this opportunity. What you do with it is completely up to you!
Yesterday I told you about Lorna Thurston who had given away 40 Power Malls. I need to correct that. When I looked this morning it was up to 55! But here's the other side of the coin…
Some of you will look at 55 and say, "Oh my gosh, I could never do that. Is that what it really takes? Maybe I should just give up now!" Let's take a look at Chris Einsphar who is actually at the top of Lorna's team. Remember I told you he has the fastest growing team in the company? Well, he's only signed up 8. That's right – 8. He just happened to sign up the RIGHT 8!
High numbers are exciting, but it's also important to get the RIGHT people. You won't always know who those are and sometimes you'll have to give away a lot of Malls to find those RIGHT people who will work with you to build an amazing business, but I want you to remember we are only 8 days old, and already people have done so much! That's because it's so simple to give away something as powerful as My Power Mall.
